We invite you, your family and friends to a very special wine experience this autumn. Enjoy a guided tour of the historic wine cellar and savour the delights of our wine tapas. Be curious and take advantage of this unique opportunity.
Wine tasting is at the centre of our Wine Experience Days. As in previous years, you will have the opportunity to taste our wines and socialise with us and other guests.
Savour the first impressions of the new vintage, taste our bottle-fermented and hand-shaken sparkling wines according to the “Methode Champenoise” or enjoy our range of fine, impressive red wines – Cheers.
Descend into the wine cellar and join cellar master Julius Wasem on an exciting tour. Amidst the barrels and tanks, you will learn all about the art of winemaking, from the grape to the finished wine. Julius will be happy to answer all your questions about the development of the wine, the current work in the cellar and the secrets of storage. Of course, an exclusive barrel tasting is a must. There is a lot to discover in the cellar, especially after the harvest, and the aroma of fresh wine production is tantalisingly in the air.
A good wine now also goes with small, fine Rheinhessen tapas – and vice versa! Put together your own combination of our hand-picked wines and delicious tapas, freshly prepared by the monastery kitchen. You are free to choose which regional delicacies you would like to enjoy with which wine. A culinary experience that you can customise to your taste! Here is our selection: Lard bread from the duck, Handkäs’ apple salad, carpaccio from the rind stomach, three kinds of organic cheese from the Lehnmühle, home-made bacon quiche or spinach and feta quiche.
Our vertical tasting of the Ingelheim Burgberg Pinot Noir offers a special opportunity. On site, you will have the opportunity to taste the 2019 to 2023 vintages and experience the development of this special wine over the years. A highlight: the most recent 2023 vintage will be served to you fresh from the barrel for tasting during the cellar tour.
