Experience the Wasem winery with a selection of unique wine events! From relaxing wine walks and fascinating cellar tours to culinary wine tastings – wine lovers will get their money’s worth here. Savour excellent wines and learn more about the history and cultivation of our fine wines.

If you would like to get an insight into our wines, you can do so at any time during the opening hours of our vinotheque without prior appointment.
Exercise – fresh air – relaxation
The wine tour starts with a glass of WASEM wine in front of the vinotheque. After a busy day, the tour leads through historic Ober-Ingelheim to the top vineyards of Ingelheim. Here, at an elevated point in the vineyards, you can enjoy the magnificent view of Ingelheim and the panoramic view of the Rhine Valley as far as the gateway to the Unesco World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley. At the wine table – in the middle of the sea of vines – there is the possibility of a small wine tasting with snacks. Along the way, anyone interested will learn about the history of Ingelheim and interesting facts about Ingelheim wine and its cultivation. Of course, there will also be enough time for communication and socialising within the group. *

Winemaking – winemaker’s sparkling wine production – historic wine cellar
The cellar tour starts with a glass of WASEM wine in front of the vinotheque. We then show you the traditional WASEM winery – a former aristocratic estate – above the Engelthal monastery. In the historic wine cellar, you will learn about the cultivation and ageing of the wines and how they are stored. By candlelight, the path leads past old and new barrels into the sparkling wine cellar. There you will learn all about the production of our WASEM sparkling wine. The cellar tour ends with a glass of sparkling wine for each guest. *

Communicative – culinary – uncomplicated
Get a little insight into the world of wine and enjoy matching delicacies from our monastery kitchen. We will give you a brief explanation about our winery and the combination of wine and food. Afterwards, you can chat to each other undisturbed and talk shop about the tasting. This somewhat different kind of wine tasting is also very suitable as an appetiser for your guests, friends and colleagues.

- 5 wines – 5 delicacies, approx. 45 minutes, 30€ per person

Culinary wine tasting
Feast to your heart’s content and enjoy the matching wines from our winery. We serve two wines with each course of the menu, which are comprehensively commented on by our tasters. Choose between a 3-course or 4-course menu. */**

Classic wine tasting
Taste six wines in the classic way during a wine tasting session. We will serve you bread and water. *
*As a rule, our wine tastings/tours are always held in German. English tastings/guided tours are available on request.
